\n\tChance the Rapper<\/a> and Jeremih<\/a> are spreading some holiday cheer with their newly-released EP, Secret Santa. The five-track release arrives on Soundcloud as a Christmas Eve treat from the duo, who previously teamed up on the mixtape series Merry Christmas Lil\u2019 Mama.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tSecret Santa opens with \u201cSafe With Me,\u201d a winter-ready R&B track. \u201cDon\u2019t have to be left alone\/By yourself on your own\/Girl, you should be in some arms\/Safe with me, far from home,\u201d Jeremih sings on the chorus. On his verse, Chance adds, \u201cIt\u2019s cold out there, it\u2019s lonely outside\/There\u2019s ice on them roads, it\u2019s slippery, don\u2019t slide\/It\u2019s frozen outside, it\u2019s snowing outside.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe project continues with \u201cI Want What I Want,\u201d \u201cBlack Santa,\u201d \u201cGloria,\u201d and \u201cBless Them All.\u201d Chance and Jeremih teased the project on Instagram a few hours before its release, asking, \u201cShould I upload tonight?\u201d The post previewed the EP with a snippet of \u201cSafe With Me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tChance and Jeremih began their holiday tradition in 2016 with the first iteration of Merry Christmas Lil\u2019 Mama. The following year, the Chicago natives shared the Re-Wrapped<\/a> version of the mixtape, followed by another new edition, The Gift that Keeps on Giving, in 2020.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe did that project in a week and a half,\u201d Jeremih told Billboard<\/a> in 2017. \u201cI bumped into him at CRC Studios and he asked what I was working on. I told him, \u2018Man, I\u2019m just doing something for my fans for Christmas.\u2019 He was like, \u2018Fuck it. Let\u2019s hit them.\u2019 I\u2019ve never been in the Christmas spirit ever. My whole family was dancing to Merry Christmas, Lil\u2019 Mama. My grandpops was dancing to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tJeremih\u2019s heart must have grown a few sizes after the release. Last year, he released a solo holiday single titled \u201cSecret Santa.\u201d Chance is feeling the spirit, too. On Friday, Dec. 26, the rapper will host the \u201cDay after Christmas AfterParty<\/a>\u201d in Chicago with proceeds benefiting his nonprofit SocialWorks.<\/p>\n
