4WARN WEATHER ALERT: We\u2019ve declared a 4Warn Weather Alert for the first part of the day on Friday due to the potential for freezing rain and ice accumulations having an impact on any traveling you might have to do as we continue through the holiday week. <\/p>\n
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY: In effect for all of Southeastern Michigan from 5:00 AM Friday until 4:00 PM Friday. <\/p>\n
A wintry mix of precipitation is anticipated, with freezing rain expected to lead to ice accumulation for at least the first part of the day on Friday. <\/p>\n
This will make travel difficult for at least the first part of the day.<\/p>\n
THURSDAY NIGHT (CHRISTMAS NIGHT): Mostly cloudy skies. Low: 28.<\/p>\n
FRIDAY: Cloudy skies. Freezing rain likely in the morning to early afternoon before changing to a few rain showers. Ice accumulation is possible. High: 35.<\/p>\n
FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies. Low: 29.<\/p>\n
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy skies. High: 37.<\/p>\n
SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy skies. Low: 30.<\/p>\n
SUNDAY: Cloudy skies. Rain likely. High: 48.<\/p>\n
SUNDAY NIGHT: Rain showers changing to a wintry mix, then to snow showers. Much colder. Low: 28.<\/p>\n
MONDAY: Cloudy skies. Snow showers and\/or snow squalls possible. Breezy winds are anticipated. High: 33.<\/p>\n
Expect the clouds to increase Thursday night and early on Friday morning in advance of our next round of winter weather moving into the region, and this one looks to be more ice than anything else.<\/p>\n
A low-pressure system will move south of the region throughout Friday, with a warm front lifting north toward the area. <\/p>\n
As precipitation moves in along this front, the region will remain on its north side, resulting mainly in freezing rain. <\/p>\n
Temperatures are expected to hover near freezing, in the lower 30s.<\/p>\n
As of right now, most of the region is looking at 0.10\u2033 to 0.20\u2033 of ice accumulation through early Friday afternoon, and this will be enough to make the roads slick and icy for the first part of the day on Friday.<\/p>\n
Due to the forecast of freezing rain with ice accumulation on Friday, we have declared a 4Warn Weather Alert for Friday morning into early Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Once the system moves off to the east by Friday afternoon and early Friday evening, we will keep the cloud cover in the forecast Friday night and into the start of the weekend on Saturday. <\/p>\n
High temperatures dropping into the upper 20s Friday night, then warming back into the upper 30s for the start of the weekend on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Our next chance of rain moves into the forecast by the time we get to the end of the weekend on Sunday. <\/p>\n
We could end this system with a mix of rain and snow showers by late Sunday night. <\/p>\n
High temperatures back into the low 40s on Sunday will drop into the upper teens Sunday night and early on Monday morning as colder air moves into the region.<\/p>\n
Once the low-pressure system moves off to the east by late Sunday night, a northwesterly flow will kick in for the start of next week on Monday. <\/p>\n
This will bring a lake-effect snow fetch into the region, so snow showers and\/or snow squalls have been brought into the forecast, along with breezy winds. <\/p>\n
Temperatures will be much colder to start the week, and daytime high temperatures will only head into the lower 30s by the afternoon.<\/p>\n
Then, looking ahead to the end of 2025 for New Year\u2019s Eve on Wednesday, we bring chances for snow back into the forecast with a few disturbances rolling into the region. <\/p>\n
High temperatures remaining into the mid to upper-20s by Wednesday afternoon. <\/p>\n
The chances for snow showers remain in the forecast for the start of 2026, as well on Thursday. <\/p>\n
High temperatures remaining in the 20s to lower 30s by Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n
