Dimes Media is seeking a waiver to purchase 101.3 KERW Los Osos-Baywood Park\/San Luis Obispo CA from Santa Monica Community College for $237,500. The deal, if approved would give Dimes Media a fifth full-powered FM in the San Luis Obispo market, one more than the limit for the number of signals in the market.<\/p>\n
In requesting the waiver for KERW to join Dimes existing four FMs and one AM in the San Luis Obispo market, Dimes Media notes that were the market to be considered simply by the contour overlap method utilized in unrated markets, the deal would be allowed as 100.5 KXDZ is terrain blocked. Dimes currently owns AAA \u201cKPIG<\/a>\u201d 94.9 KPYG Cayucos, Variety Hits \u201cThe Beach<\/a>\u201d 95.3 KXTZ Pismo Beach\/100.5 KXDZ Templeton, CHR \u201cWild 106.1<\/a>\u201d KWWV Santa Margarita, and Classic Country \u201cThe Grade<\/a>\u201d 1340 KYNS San Luis Obispo.<\/p>\n KERW currently operates as non-commercial license airing \u201cEclectic 24<\/a>\u201d simulcasting KCRW-HD2 Santa Monica\/Los Angeles.<\/p>\n Wes Robertson\u2019s Box Media Group acquires Country 92.9 WBOX-FM Varnado LA from Best Country Broadcasting for $1. The seller surrendered 920 WBOX Bogalusas earlier this month.<\/p>\n Translator Sales<\/p>\n Gois Broadcasting sells 97.5 W248CR Windsor\/Hartford CT to Conduit Communications for $275,000. Conduit will utilize the translator to rebroadcast Christian AC \u201cThe Q 99.7<\/a>\u201d WLCQ-LP Feeding Hills MA. The translator currently rebroadcasts the seller\u2019s Urban Variety \u201cPower 1480\u201d WKND Windsor.<\/p>\n Dennis Jackson\u2019s Sun Signals LLC sells 93.9 W230CP Pittsfield MA to Nelson Diaz\u2019s Airwave Ventures ID 153531 LLC for $40,000.
