GOOCHLAND COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) \u2014 A Northern Virginia man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a bank and a church in Goochland County on Friday.<\/p>\n
On Friday, Dec. 26, deputies with the Goochland County Sheriff\u2019s Office responded to United Bank in the 100 block of Broad Street Road after receiving a report of damage to a window.<\/p>\n
After reviewing surveillance footage, deputies determined the damage was due to a breaking and entering.<\/p>\n
According to the sheriff\u2019s office, deputies also responded at about 5:20 p.m. on Friday to a reported breaking and entering at a church located in the 2400 block of Manakin Road.<\/p>\n
Officials said the information provided indicates that the suspect matched the description of the person believed to be responsible for the break-in at United Bank earlier that day.<\/p>\n
Deputies found and took a Northern Virginia man into custody, who was positively identified in connection with both incidents. He was hit with two counts of breaking and entering and one count of petit larceny.<\/p>\n
The sheriff\u2019s office continues to investigate.<\/p>\n
