Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark is taking a leave of absence for \u201cpersonal reasons,\u201d the team announced Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cLinus has the full support of our organization during this time,\u201d Senators general manager and president of hockey operations Steve Staios said in a statement released by the team<\/a>. \u201cOut of respect to Linus, we will not be making any further comments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ullmark holds a 14-8-5 record this season in 28 games with a 2.95 goals-against average and an .881 save percentage. On Saturday<\/a>, he was pulled after allowing four goals on 14 shots in a 7-5 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.<\/p>\n

The Swedish goaltender is in the first year<\/a> of a four-year, $33-million contract extension signed in October 2024, months after the Boston Bruins traded him to the Senators. Ullmark has a 39-22-8 record in 72 career games with the Senators, to go along with an .899 save percentage and a 2.82 goals-against average.<\/p>\n
