The Emmy-winning show, which followed Seinfeld\u2019s eponymous character and his friends in New York City, aired for nine seasons from 1989 to 1998.<\/p>\n In 2021, Seinfeld shut down<\/a> rumors of an official Seinfeld reunion. During a press junket, saying, “There’s absolutely nothing going on.”<\/p>\n “I am very much a nostalgia person. I love to go to my house where I grew up on Long Island \u2026 But I like to go forward in life. I believe that going forward. I don’t know what we would do that would be good,\u201d Seinfeld said at the time.<\/p>\n David\u2019s reunion with Seinfeld marks his first public appearance since the deaths<\/a> of his close friend Rob Reiner<\/a> and his wife Michele<\/a>.<\/p>\n Doug Hyun \/ HBO \/ courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n Larry David, Jerry Seinfeld, Michael Richards, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander in ‘Seinfeld’<\/p>\n David and Billy Crystal<\/a> separately visited the Reiners\u2019 home<\/a> shortly after reports of the couple’s deaths in an apparent homicide at their Los Angeles home on Dec. 14, a source previously confirmed to PEOPLE.<\/p>\n Rob and Michele\u2019s son, Nick Reiner, 32, has since been charged<\/a> with two counts of first-degree murder with special allegation of using a knife in connection with his parents’ deaths.<\/p>\n David and Crystal, 77, issued a joint statement<\/a> with several of Rob\u2019s collaborators, saying, \u201cRob was also a passionate, brave citizen, who not only cared for this country he loved, he did everything he could to make it better and with his loving wife Michele, he had the perfect partner.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cStrong and determined, Michele and Rob Reiner devoted a great deal of their lives for the betterment of our fellow citizens… They were a special force together-dynamic, unselfish and inspiring.
