Jackson<\/a>. But his schedule \u2014 he\u2019s the showrunner on the current season of\u00a0Tulsa King\u00a0in addition to his duties as showrunner on Taylor Sheridan\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/mayor-of-kingstown\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mayor of Kingstown<\/a> \u2014 made it impossible to continue, so NOLA King is moving ahead without him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tParamount+ has yet to officially pick up the spinoff, which is expected to follow Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., who, like Sylvester Stallone\u2019s Dwight \u201cThe General\u201d Manfredi, comes from the crime world. Jackson will appear in multiple episodes of\u00a0Tulsa King\u2018s upcoming third season before headlining and executive producing the spinoff from 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tJackson\u2019s Washington will go against Dwight in Tulsa before heading to New Orleans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tProduction on Season 3 of\u00a0Tulsa King\u00a0has been underway in Atlanta and Oklahoma for a couple of months. Jackson is expected to film his episodes in July, with production on\u00a0NOLA King\u00a0eyeing a February start, sources said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNOLA King\u00a0executive producers also include Sheridan and 101 Studios\u2019 David C.
