Marc Guehi is expected to remain at Crystal Palace until the end of the season, despite the possibility of him being available for a cut-price fee during the January transfer window.<\/p>\n
Guehi<\/a>‘s contract at Palace will expire on June 30, when he will be free to join another club on a free transfer, and he is expected to attract interest from a host of top clubs in the Premier League<\/a> and abroad. Liverpool remains an admirer of Guehi<\/a> after failing with a bid to sign him during the summer transfer window, and is likely to be in the running to land the England international next summer.<\/p>\n However, the Reds will not have the free run at him that they appeared to have earlier this year, when a fee for the player was agreed with Palace on deadline day \u2013 only for the South London club to U-turn on the deal at the 11th hour.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Late Liverpool and Antoine Semenyo transfer twist emerges despite Man City status<\/a>READ MORE: Liverpool told $70M is not enough for top European prospect as Real Madrid also interested<\/a><\/p>\n Liverpool could do with a new center-back in January, with Giovanni Leoni and Joe Gomez both currently sidelined, but BBC reporter Sami Mokbel said that a winter exit for Guehi is unlikely.<\/p>\n \u201cMy understanding at the moment is he probably and is expected to stay at Palace until the end of the season when his contract expires,\u201d declared Mokbel.<\/p>\n \u201cLook, he\u2019s got so many options in the summer. You\u2019ve got Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan\u2026 all these clubs have registered varying degrees of interest in Guehi in recent weeks.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you come to the end of the season you\u2019ll have Liverpool back in the mix, Manchester City back in the mix.<\/p>\n \u201cSo he is leaving, he\u2019s going, but I expect that situation to continue until the summer when he\u2019ll have his pick of the clubs.\u201d<\/p>\n Mokbel added: \u201cHe\u2019s delivered week in, week out, and the way he\u2019s reacted to that Liverpool move falling through has seen a number of clubs come to the fore.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s the kind of personality and character people want at their club.
