Arsenal\u2019s longest scoring streak in the Premier League<\/a> is seven, with Ian Wright<\/a>, Thierry Henry<\/a> and Emmanuel Adebayor completing the feat. <\/p>\n

Right now, Calvert-Lewin<\/a> is on six consecutive Premier League matches with a goal, meaning if he is to score against Liverpool, he\u2019ll be level with the ex-Arsenal trio.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an incredible show of form from the former Everton star, who might just have Arsenal wondering why they didn\u2019t enter the frame to acquire his services. <\/p>\n

In all honesty, it\u2019s unsurprising that Arsenal didn\u2019t attempt to sign the Leeds talisman in the summer, given that he scored only three times in the 2024\/25 Premier League. <\/p>\n

That being said, the talent and knack for scoring goals doesn\u2019t go away, as we\u2019re now seeing, with the Englishman having been viewed by many as a missing piece in Arteta\u2019s squad over the years. <\/p>\n

Paul Merson pleaded for Arsenal to sign Calvert-Lewin<\/a> back in 2022, with links between the striker and the Gunners spanning over several seasons. <\/p>\n

\u201cDominic Calvert-Lewin is a perfect fit for Arsenal, and they should break the bank to sign him next summer,\u201d Merson said at the time. <\/p>\n

Fast forward to now, and the Leeds star is one of the hottest strikers in the Premier League once more, still only 28 years old. <\/p>\n
