WASHINGTON, D.C. (Dec. 30, 2025) – D.C. United has signed defender Keisuke Kurokawa from Gamba Osaka in the J1 League, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).\u00a0\u00a0The Black-and-Red has signed Kurokawa to a three-year contract through the 2028-29 season with an option for 2029-30.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kurokawa, 28,\u00a0joins the Black-and-Red after spending the past five seasons in the J1 League with\u00a0Gamba\u00a0Osaka.\u00a0\u00a0This past 2025 season, he created 33 chances while scoring three goals and adding two assists in 44 appearances.\u00a0\u00a0He ranked\u00a0second\u00a0on the team in\u00a0crosses\u00a0with\u00a0106\u00a0and\u00a0made 30\u00a0successful\u00a0dribbles. Defensively, Kurokawa won 122 duels and made 139 recoveries.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The defender signed with\u00a0Gamba\u00a0Osaka on February 1,\u00a02020,\u00a0after finishing\u00a0four years at Kansai University in Osaka, Japan.\u00a0\u00a0Kurokawa made his professional debut on April 24, 2019, in a 4\u20131 win over\u00a0J\u00fabilo\u00a0Iwata in the\u00a0J.League\u00a0Cup,\u00a0notching his first assist for the club. \u00a0He would make his league debut\u00a0shortly thereafter on\u00a0May 11, 2019. \u00a0Kurokawa\u00a0added\u00a0goal contributions to his skillset,\u00a0becoming a threat in the final third. \u00a0He\u00a0scored his first goal for\u00a0Gamba\u00a0Osaka on April 2,\u00a02022\u00a0in a 3-1 league win over Nagoya Grampus.\u00a0\u00a0Across five seasons with\u00a0Gamba\u00a0Osaka, Kurokawa made 199 appearances, scoring seven goals and recording 10 assists in all competitions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
