{"id":379731,"date":"2025-12-31T12:15:08","date_gmt":"2025-12-31T12:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/379731\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T12:15:08","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T12:15:08","slug":"barcelona-presidential-candidate-marc-ciria-reveals-his-plan-to-bring-lionel-messi-back-to-barcelona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/379731\/","title":{"rendered":"Barcelona presidential candidate Marc Ciria reveals his plan to bring Lionel Messi back to Barcelona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Barcelona presidential candidate Marc Ciria has revealed his plan to bring Lionel Messi back to the club and has spoken about what kind of role the GOAT might take up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Ciria has joined the race to be the club\u2019s next president alongside Joan Laporta, Victor Font and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.barcablaugranes.com\/barcelona-la-liga\/106794\/our-haaland-isnt-at-city-hes-at-la-masia-xavi-vilajoana-speaks-out-after-joining-barcelonas-presidential-race\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Xavi Vilajoana<\/a> and is happy to use Messi\u2019s name to further his cause.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">He\u2019s previously said he\u2019ll do whatever it takes to bring Messi back and has now been quizzed further on those claims.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cThis is about proposing a real project in which Leo Messi is a strategic partner for the club\u2026 for Messi to be a strategic partner in all areas in which we urgently need to increase revenue,\u201d he told Sport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cJust one fact: we are generating 994 million in revenue. In the 17-18 year, with for me the worst board of directors in the history of the club, we generated 990. If I apply only inflation, the cost of living, Bar\u00e7a today should be at 1,200 million in income.
