I started assisting her when times were especially busy. My first day on set was a Victoria’s Secret campaign. I worked 17 hours that day.”<\/p>\n Those highlights aside, Nix insisted that while many “expected my life to change and become glamorous, jet-setting around, with an endless bank account,” her life “didn’t change much” since the news went public.<\/p>\n “I live in a tiny one-bedroom apartment in the East Village and mooch off of my mom. I take the subway or bus to work. When the Met Gala comes, I will be working nonstop carrying 70-pound trunks up and down stairs or through the freight entrance at the Carlyle,” she said — before adding, “Today, I am doing my best to live my life for me and to remember that, despite a couple of extra eyes on me, my life is still my own.”<\/p>\n
