According to the Los Angeles Times<\/a>, Mickey Rourke is facing eviction from his Los Angeles home after failing to pay rent. The 73-year-old owes $59,100 for the three-bedroom, 2.5-bath house. <\/p>\nAccording to the Time, he received a three-day notice to pay rent or vacate the premises on Dec. 18 and has failed to comply. <\/p>\n
A former boxer who is no stranger to hard times, Rourke\u2019s acting career has included extreme highs and lows. <\/p>\n
He earned acclaim for his role in the 1982 film \u201cDiner\u201d before establishing himself as a leading man in dramas such as \u201cRumble Fish\u201d (1983), \u201cThe Pope of Greenwich\u201d), \u201c9\u00bd Weeks\u201d (1986) and \u201cAngel Heart\u201d (1987. <\/p>\n
But a string of commercial and critical failures coupled with off-the-screen issues eventually derailed his promising career. He was blacklisted in a sense and has admitted that his anger and attitude helped destabilize his career and personal and professional relationships with two marriages ending in divorce. <\/p>\n
He completed one of Hollywood\u2019s greatest comebacks when he played aging wrestler Randy \u201cThe Ram\u201d Robinson in the sports drama film \u201cThe Wrestler\u201d (2008). <\/p>\n
For the role, Rourke won the Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award for Best Actor and received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor. <\/p>\n
