Despite the endless stream of rumors and theories floating around online, the truth is we still know surprisingly little about what Avengers: Doomsday <\/a>actually has in store. <\/p>\n

Marvel Studios has kept its cards close to the chest, but fans are very curious about Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom and what that will look like.<\/p>\n

If the Russo Brothers are pulling from Marvel Comics lore, Doom\u2019s endgame could involve trying to \u201csave\u201d the Multiverse by reshaping it into Battleworld, a new reality ruled entirely by him. That destination feels tailor-made for Avengers: Secret Wars, but the road to get there sounds like it could be more unexpected than fans might\u2019ve assumed.<\/p>\n

Insider @MyTimeToShineH<\/a> is saying that Doom won\u2019t immediately position himself as the Avengers\u2019 greatest threat. Instead, the villain may spend much of the movie playing the role of ally. <\/p>\n

The insider writes, “The difference between Doomsday and the other Avengers films is that Doom is on the heroes\u2019 side for much of it. Obviously, he\u2019s only pretending – big surprise! But that does make it a bit different from the other films.”<\/p>\n

That idea would add an interesting element to the story, especially considering Doom may share the same face as Tony Stark, the Invincible Iron Man. It isn\u2019t hard to imagine how that could earn him trust from Earth\u2019s Mightiest Heroes, at least for a while. <\/p>\n

Downey playing both characters feels like something Marvel would absolutely lean into, and it could give Doom a psychological edge unlike anything the Avengers have dealt with before.<\/p>\n

This rumor also reframes what many fans thought they understood about The Fantastic Four: First Steps and its mid-credits scene. Early chatter suggested Doom might be preparing to abduct young Franklin Richards, but this new angle suggests something more calculated. <\/p>\n

Instead of acting like a monster, Doom could be attempting to win over Marvel\u2019s First Family by presenting himself as a protector. One theory floating around is that Doom bonds with Franklin by sharing a quiet, emotional moment tied to a child he lost during an Incursion. If true, that paints Doom as manipulative in a far more unsettling way.<\/p>\n

Right now, everything points to Avengers: Doomsday being less about a straightforward good-versus-evil showdown and more about deception, trust, and Doom slowly positioning himself as the Multiverse\u2019s ultimate authority. <\/p>\n
