\u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum Kevin Nealon has revealed how Paul McCartney ditched him during the show\u2019s star-studded 50th anniversary celebration<\/a> back in February.<\/p>\n Nealon, who was a main cast member on \u201cSNL\u201d<\/a> from 1986 to 1995, began by sharing a cordial interaction he had with the former Beatle<\/a> during the Lorne Michaels-created sketch comedy\u2019s 40th anniversary special in 2015.<\/p>\n Kevin Nealon at \u201cSNL50: The Anniversary Special\u201d at 30 Rockefeller Plaza on Feb. 16, 2025. Theo Wargo\/NBC via Getty Images<\/p>\n \u201cPaul McCartney remembered me, and I remember he was about to go on, I\u2019m with my wife, sitting in the front row, and I feel a tap on my head,\u201d the comedian, 72, said during the \u201cWhat\u2019s Our Podcast?\u201d<\/a> this month.<\/p>\n \u201cI look up, it\u2019s Paul McCartney,\u201d Nealon added. \u201cHe goes, \u2018Hey, how you doing? Good to see you! Todd Owyoung\/NBC via Getty Images<\/p>\n \u201cTen years later, at the 50th one, I see him talking to Conan [O\u2019Brien], and I did exactly what I hate that people do: I came in, kind of cock-blocked Conan, said, \u2018Hey, Paul, how you doing, man?’\u201d Nealon recalled.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m telling you, it was like pulling teeth,\u201d the \u201cHappy Gilmore\u201d star added. \u201cI knew he didn\u2019t wanna talk. I get it, man. The small talk from Paul McCartney was killing me.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Nealon could tell that the 19-time Grammy winner wasn\u2019t interested in chatting, he tried anyway and praised McCartney\u2019s live performances of the \u201cAbbey Road\u201d tracks \u201cGolden Slumbers,\u201d \u201cCarry That Weight\u201d and \u201cThe End.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sweating, I say, \u2018Paul, how are you, man? Getty Images<\/p>\n Former Wings drummer Denny Seiwell, in the book\u00a0\u201cWings: The Story of a Band on the Run<\/a>,\u201d claimed that McCartney and his then-wife, Linda McCartney, mailed the critic their baby daughter\u2019s turd<\/a> following the poor review.<\/p>\n \u201cStella was a baby at the time,\u201d Seiwell, 82, said. \u201cSo Paul and Linda took one of those little plastic soap dishes from the hotel we were in, and they got one of Stella\u2019s turds, put it in the soap dish, wrapped it up, and sent it to him.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou heard that from me.
