Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban\u2019s friendship might be taking a warmer turn in the New Year.<\/p>\n

Since the 58-year-old actress filed for divorce on September 30, their relationship has been notably \u201cfrozen,\u201d<\/a> per Rob Shuter\u2019s Substack.<\/a> However, the holiday season may have thawed some of those feelings after the National Enquirer reported<\/a> that \u201cKeith has done a real 180 the last few weeks\u201d and worked on establishing a co-parenting friendship with his ex.<\/p>\n

The former couple shares two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, but they\u2019ve been with their mom in Australia<\/a> over the Christmas holiday. Kidman and Urban\u2019s original plan had been to stay in Nashville, but \u201cKeith was a real gentleman about it, which definitely softened her heart towards him,\u201d a source claimed to the outlet.<\/p>\n

That move has put Kidman\u2019s pals on high alert because they are reportedly \u201cterrified she\u2019s going to get sucked back in\u201d and are \u201cbegging her not to let nostalgia cloud her judgment.\u201d Right now, she\u2019s \u201cshe\u2019s finally free to put herself first,\u201d instead of catering to Urban\u2019s whims and wishes.<\/p>\n

It also sounds like the 58-year-old country superstar is having second thoughts about his divorce. According to a Woman\u2019s Day magazine source, via the Daily Mail<\/a>, Urban finds his new single life to be a \u201clonely existence.\u201d The insider added, \u201c\u2026He\u2019s exhausted, isolated, and looking at a future he never imagined. He\u2019s also lost his best friend, Nicole, who was also his greatest supporter in life, and he\u2019s wondering if he\u2019s made a huge mistake.<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n

Kidman is booked and busy in 2026 with The Practical Magic sequel making its way to theaters, hosting the 2026 Met Gala, and the TV show, Margo\u2019s Got Money Troubles. But other sources are backing away from the rumors<\/a> that Urban cheated on his wife of 19 years, which might have her rethinking her divorce.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was not triggered by any explosive wrongdoing,\u201d a RadarOnline source said<\/a>. \u201cAfter years of juggling intense professional demands, they gradually realized their paths were no longer aligned.\u201d<\/p>\n

If that\u2019s the case, perhaps Kidman and Urban are open to a reconciliation in 2026, even though her friends want to stay far away from her ex.<\/p>\n
