The final College Football Playoff quarterfinal awaits Thursday night in New Orleans. That\u2019s where Georgia<\/a> will take on Ole Miss<\/a> in the Sugar Bowl.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a rematch of the regular-season game, which saw the Bulldogs take down the Rebels in a 43-35 shootout at Sanford Stadium. Of course, Ole Miss has a new look with Pete Golding<\/a> at head coach after he picked up his first victory at the helm when the Rebels knocked off Tulane<\/a> in the first round of the CFP. Thursday\u2019s game will mark Georgia\u2019s first of the postseason after securing a bye.<\/p>\n

With 4:46 to go in the fourth quarter, Georgia running back Nate Frazier suffered an injury. He walked off under his own power, but with a noticeable limp after an apparent leg issue.<\/p>\n

On a second down run from Kewan Lacy, the Georgia defender appeared to grab the facemask. However, the officials did not throw a flag, and Ole Miss later punted to end the drive.<\/p>\n

Needing a response to the Ole Miss touchdown, Georgia got one in a big way. Gunner Stockton found Zachariah Branch for an 18-yard touchdown to get the Bulldogs back within three points, cutting the Rebels lead to 34-31 with 7:03 to go.<\/p>\n

Two plays after the stop, Ole Miss cashed in once again. Trinidad Chambliss found Harrison Wallace III with a perfectly placed pass, which added to the Rebels\u2019 lead. It made it a 34-24 advantage with 9:02 to play in the Sugar Bowl.<\/p>\n

After initially sending the punt team onto the field, Georgia put the offense back out. But the Ole Miss defense wasn\u2019t fooled, sacking Gunner Stockton for a 10-yard loss. It was ruled a fumble, recovered by the Rebels, at the UGA 23-yard line.<\/p>\n

Trinidad Chambliss showed out on Ole Miss\u2019 8-play, 75-yard drive, which ended with a Kewan Lacy rushing touchdown as he just reached the football over the goal line. Just like that, the Rebels went back out in front 27-24 after the two-point conversion.<\/p>\n

Ole Miss found its rhythm after Georgia\u2019s missed field goal, and a 36-yard catch from Harrison Wallace III helped set up a 7-yard touchdown from Kewan Lacy. Just like that, the Rebels cut the Bulldogs\u2019 lead to 21-19 with 4:51 to go in the third quarter.<\/p>\n

After Ole Miss a fresh set of downs, Kewan Lacy ran up the middle, but Elijah Griffin forced a fumble. Daylen Everette was there to recover it and take it back 46 yards for a scoop-and-score, extending the Georgia lead to 21-12 over Ole Miss.<\/p>\n
