Cassie Lang actress Kathryn Newton shared a photo of herself on social media [via Avengers Updates<\/a>] wearing an Avengers: Doomsday hat at Disneyland, leading outlets like Comic Book<\/a> to speculate she\u2019s both in the film and may be the first member of the rumored Young Avengers team.<\/p>\n Relatedly, Tom Hiddleston revealed to GQ<\/a> that Avengers: Doomsday follows up on Loki\u2019s \u201cglorious purpose\u201d gained at the end of his own spinoff series.<\/p>\n My contribution has been contributed. So that\u2019s what the film is about, and I think you know it\u2019s one of those things that I think everyone will want to go see.<\/p>\n We\u2019re working with two people who are at the very center of the topic. So, you know, the conversations with them are just fascinating [\u2026] It\u2019s a very exciting project, and trying to get that ready as soon as possible.<\/p>\n The Masque of the Red Death <\/p>\n Director Charlie Polinger provided GoldDerby<\/a> with an update on his adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe\u2019s The Masque of the Red Death which he describes as a \u201chigh-energy dark comedy\u201d starring Mikey Madison.<\/p>\n I\u2019m actually currently in Budapest right now, doing pre-production scouts for it, which is shooting here in February. I don\u2019t know if I can say too much about it, but it\u2019s with A24 and yes, Mikey Madison is starring in it. It\u2019s a very high-energy dark comedy, also about a plague in a way, but it\u2019s extremely different. It\u2019s set in medieval times and takes place in a castle for the most part. It explores some similar group dynamics. But it\u2019s just a very different genre and it\u2019s more comedic.<\/p>\n Primate <\/p>\n Surprising no one, Bloody-Disgusting<\/a> has confirmed Johannes Roberts\u2019 Primate has been rated \u201cR\u201d for \u201cstrong bloody violent content, gore, language,\u201d and perhaps somewhat surprisingly, \u201csome drug use.\u201d<\/p>\n Primal <\/p>\n Finally, Adult Swim has released a full trailer for the third season of Primal, premiering January 11 on Adult Swim.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Want more io9 news?
