Scott Adams<\/a>, the 68-year-old creator of the long-running comic strip \u201cDilbert,\u201d shared a grim health update about his prostate cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

During a livestream <\/a>of his show \u201cReal Coffee with Scott Adams\u201d on Thursday, Adams shared details from a conversation he had with his radiologist the day before.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s all bad news,\u201d Adams said. \u201cThe odds of me recovering are essentially zero.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll give you any updates if that changes, but it won\u2019t,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Adams told fans that January will likely be a \u201cmonth of transition,\u201d adding that he will continue livestreaming for \u201cas long as it makes sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI like doing it,\u201d Adams said. \u201cKeeps me busy.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI will probably write down some closing thoughts today just so I have them,\u201d he went on to say.<\/p>\n

Adams announced his prostate cancer diagnosis during a livestream<\/a> in May 2025. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s metastasized to my bones. It\u2019s fatal, and, uh, I don\u2019t have too much longer,\u201d Adams said. \u201cMaybe a few months, probably this summer I\u2019ll be checking out.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Adams used testosterone blockers<\/a> throughout the summer, which served as a temporary solution to remove pain and keep him alive.<\/p>\n

On Nov. 2, 2025, Adams publicly called on President Donald Trump on X <\/a>to help him get Pluvicto, saying his insurance provider \u201cdropped the ball in scheduling the brief IV to administer\u201d the drug.<\/p>\n

Later that day, Trump replied \u201cOn it!\u201d in a repost of Adams\u2019 request <\/a>on social media.<\/p>\n

On Nov. 3, 2025, Adams provided an update on X, writing, \u201cGetting Pluvicto (the cancer drug) tomorrow, via Kaiser Northern California. The Trump administration works fast. Amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Dec. 13, 2025, Adams gave fans an update while livestreaming <\/a>from his hospital bed, sharing that his Pluvicto treatment had to be postponed due to his radiation treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am paralyzed below the waist,\u201d he said. \u201cI do have feeling. I just can\u2019t move any muscles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams said that the solution at the time was to irradiate the tumor around his spine to give him some strength back in his lower body.<\/p>\n

But in his most recent update on Thursday, Adams said there is \u201cno chance\u201d that he will regain feeling in his legs.<\/p>\n

Adams is best known for creating \u201cDilbert,\u201d a comic strip satirizing workplace culture that was first published in 1989 and became a cultural phenomenon.<\/p>\n

In February 2023, Adams faced backlash for making remarks that likened Black Americans to a \u201chate group.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cBased on the current way things are going, the best advice I would give to white people is to get the hell away from Black people,\u201d Adams said during an episode of his show.<\/p>\n

Following those comments, Portfolio, a Penguin Random House imprint, withdrew its plans to publish Adams\u2019 self-help book \u201cReframe Your Brain.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrews McMeel Universal (AMU), the former distributor of \u201cDilbert,\u201d also cut ties with Adams at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a media and communications company, AMU values free speech,\u201d the top leaders of AMU wrote in a statement.<\/a> \u201cBut we will never support any commentary rooted in discrimination or hate.\u201d<\/p>\n
