The application invokes the Builder\u2019s Remedy to circumvent certain local zoning restrictions and permit the construction of more than 100 new apartments. <a href=\"https:\/\/sfyimby.com\/category\/borello-asset-management\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Borello Asset Management<\/a> is the project owner and developer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-44415\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1000-South-De-Anza-Boulevard-vertical-cross-section-illustration-by-LPMD-Architects.jpg\" alt=\"1000 South De Anza Boulevard vertical cross-section, illustration by LPMD Architects\" width=\"1500\" height=\"820\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">1000 South De Anza Boulevard vertical cross-section, illustration by LPMD Architects<\/p>\n<p>The 91-foot-tall structure is expected to yield around 111,900 square feet, including 72,930 square feet for housing, 15,840 square feet for the garage, and 3,320 square feet for the podium-top courtyard. Unit sizes include 44 studios, 42 one-bedrooms, and 32 two-bedrooms. The garage will use mechanical lifts to reach a parking capacity of 148 cars. Bicycle storage will be provided, though the capacity is not specified. Of the 118 units, 24 will be deed-restricted as affordable to households earning around 80% of the area\u2019s median income.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sfyimby.com\/category\/lpmd-architects\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LPMD Architects<\/a> is responsible for the design, with <a href=\"https:\/\/sfyimby.com\/category\/rw-stover-and-associates\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">RW Stover &amp; Associates<\/a> working as the landscape architect. Future residents will be across from a Home Depot big box location, half a block from a Trader Joe\u2019s grocery store, and several other small shops.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Schoennauer of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sfyimby.com\/category\/the-schoennauer-co-llc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Schoennauer Company<\/a> served as the land-use consultant.
