\n\tFormer New York City Mayor Eric Adams isn\u2019t holding back in his response to Andy Cohen<\/a>\u2018s criticism during Wednesday night\u2019s CNN\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve Live special with Anderson Cooper.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnother sloppy drunken rant. If anyone actually cares about him, they\u2019ll tell him to get help,\u201d Adams wrote on X<\/a> Thursday evening. \u201cNew Yorkers aren\u2019t laughing with him. They are concerned about him. Public intoxication is a disease. He should seek help. He was safe in Times Square because we did our job. Again. Seek help. AAA: Andy\u2019s Alcohol Anonymous.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe post comes after Cohen and Cooper were joined by The Office actor B.J. Novak for their annual booze-fueled New Year\u2019s Eve show, and Cohen shared his thoughts on Adams\u2019 term as it was coming to a close. \u201cI just want to say, you got your pardons. Now go off into the sunset,\u201d he said<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019ll fiddle with what we have \u2014 with what you left us with. Go dance away. We\u2019ll see you at all the parties. You partied your way through four years; we\u2019ll see you at all the clubs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn September 2024, Adams was indicted and charged<\/a> with taking bribes and illegal campaign funds from foreign sources. However, the charges were later dismissed.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen host continued, \u201cI will say this. I think he may have dented the rat population. I think he got rid of some of the rats. But isn\u2019t that a metaphor of sorts? Let\u2019s call it as it is. Honestly. Guess what. It is 2026, and there are less rats.\u201d<\/p>\n
