On New Year\u2019s Eve, Paul \u2014\u00a0a Catholic content creator \u2014 shared the devastating news of his son\u2019s death in an emotional video posted to Instagram, saying<\/a> that “after fighting 11 long hard days, [Micah] went home to the house of our father.”<\/p>\n “We are so proud of him,\u201d said Paul. \u201cI want to thank you from the bottom of my heart as his dad, on behalf of my family, for all the ways you guys prayed and lifted us up during this time.\u201d<\/p>\n “Micah, I miss you. There is a deep, aching hole in my heart. Even though our home is filled with people, it\u2019s too quiet without you,” began the grieving mother in a new post shared to Instagram on Jan. 2. “I keep thinking I\u2019ll look outside and see you laughing on the swings. Or you\u2019ll slowly open my door and walk up to my bed and that I\u2019ll hear your sweet voice saying, ‘Mama?’ “<\/p>\n Continued Maggie: “Oh, the pain is indescribable.\u00a0And yet, you have shown us in multiple ways that you are with us. It\u2019s not the same joy as holding your hand or hearing your voice, but there is an unexplainable joy that only comes with knowing you are with Jesus. That you are in our true home. And that you are very, very happy.”<\/p>\n “Please continue to visit me and help mama keep going. You were always such a good helper and eager to make me smile. And I will keep asking for your help. My boy. Just to make sure we weren’t leaving any stone unturned. In many ways we were fighting for Micah to buy him as much time as possible, until he passed. As a father, that is my duty I was called to do that.
