Colin Mochrie is a Scottish-born Canadian actor and improv comedian best known for his appearances on the British and American versions of the improvisational TV show \u201cWhose Line Is It Anyway?\u201d <\/p>\n
These days he performs as part of \u201cHyprov: Improv Under Hypnosis,\u201d<\/a> a comedy show featuring Mochrie and hypnotist Asad Mecci, but the 68-year-old announced Friday that he will miss shows planned this weekend as he undergoes emergency eye surgery. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m very sorry to say that I won\u2019t be able to perform in HYPROV as planned this weekend,\u201d he wrote on social media. <\/a> <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been diagnosed with a detached retina. My doctors have advised that I need to rest and recover before returning to the stage. I look forward to seeing you again very soon.\u201d <\/p>\n HYPROV shows are scheduled in Niagara Falls, Ontario on Friday and Saturday, but those shows have been postponed. HYPROV is working to reschedule the shows. <\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear if Mochrie will be able to return for a show in Black River Falls, Wisconsin on Feb. 14, which is the last scheduled show until mid-March. <\/p>\n Mochrie also performs in a two-man show with fellow \u201cWhose Line\u201d vet Brad Sherwood and shows are scheduled throughout January. <\/a><\/p>\n
