Blame it on Tom Brady.<\/p>\n

Actually, blame it on Fox and the NFL for allowing Tom Brady to wear two hats that shouldn\u2019t fit on one head.<\/p>\n

With neither Fox or the NFL willing to say \u201cno\u201d to Brady\u2019s dual role as lead NFL game analyst and a minority Raiders owners, others are going to try to double dip.<\/p>\n

Last week, it was ESPN\u2019s Troy Aikman, whose side hustle as a consultant for the Dolphins drew barely a holiday-week shrug. Now, CBS\u2019s Matt Ryan reportedly hopes to keep his seat<\/a> at the Sunday pregame desk while serving as the Falcons\u2019 eventual president of football operations.<\/p>\n

If Brady can do it, why can\u2019t Aikman? If Aikman can\u2019t do it, why can\u2019t Ryan?<\/p>\n

While folks seem to be noticing \u2014 and criticizing \u2014 the undeniable conflict of interest more fervently than they did a year ago, when many were acting like it was no big deal for Brady and a few were straining to play the \u201cwhatabout<\/a>\u201d game as to those who dared to point out the obvious conflict between the two functions, it\u2019s too late to do anything about it.<\/p>\n

Fox didn\u2019t say no to Brady. ESPN didn\u2019t say no to Aikman. CBS might not say no to Ryan.<\/p>\n

So do your thing. Get paid. Ignore the ethical dilemma. Do what you want. When you want. How you want.<\/p>\n

The question isn\u2019t whether it will end. The question is which broadcaster will do it next?<\/p>\n
