He said, \u2018If I can\u2019t beat out Jimmy Kimmel, then I don\u2019t think I should be president.\u2019 Well, hey! A deal is a deal! Back to Mar-A-Lago you go!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAs reported by<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/12\/trump-kennedy-center-honors-host-jimmy-kimmel-1236638766\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Deadline last month<\/a>, Trump told reporters: \u201cWe have never had a president hosting the awards before. This is the first. I\u2019m sure they\u2019ll give me great reviews, right? You know, they\u2019ll say he was horrible. He was terrible. It was a horrible situation.
