On Friday, Netflix<\/a> released \u201cHappy Gilmore 2,\u2033 the highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 golf comedy \u201cHappy Gilmore\u201d starring Adam Sandler<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In this newest installment, a new lucrative opportunity pushes underdog golfer Happy Gilmore (Sandler) to come out of golf retirement in an attempt to earn enough money to finance his daughter\u2019s ballet classes.<\/p>\n

The film features multiple celebrity cameos from stars like Travis Kelce, Eminem, Post Malone, Bad Bunny, among others. There\u2019s also one unexpected appearance from late Disney actor Cameron Boyce \u2014 but not in the way you would think.<\/p>\n

While \u201cHappy Gilmore 2\u201d was filmed after Boyce\u2019s tragic death in 2019, the film honored the late star by playing an clip from the Disney Channel original series \u201cJessie,\u201d where Boyce played the character Luke. <\/p>\n

In this thoughtful scene, Gilmore is seen walking up to the golf course check-in booth where the attendant is watching \u201cJessie\u201d from a small TV on their desk. For a quick blip of time, Boyce\u2019s character Luke is seen front-and-center. It\u2019s a very easy moment to miss, but one fan captured the moment in a TikTok video<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sandler previously worked with Boyce in the \u201cGrown Ups\u201d franchise, where Boyce played his on-screen son.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Sandler paid tribute to Boyce in one of his films. The \u201cBilly Madison\u201d alum honored him in his 2020 film \u201cHubie Halloween\u201d by including a photo of Boyce and a message at the end of the credits. \u201cGone way too soon and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, and most talented kids we knew. You live on forever in our hearts and are truly missed every day,\u201d read the message.<\/p>\n

Boyce passed away in 2019 at the age of 20 due to an epileptic seizure. He is best known for his roles on \u201cJessie\u201d and in the \u201cDescendants\u201d franchise. In addition to appearing in both \u201cGrown Ups\u201d films, he also starred in \u201cMirrors\u201d and \u201cEagle Eye.\u201d<\/p>\n
