With Will Trent<\/a> fans curious about the show\u2019s trajectory following the Season 4 premiere, showrunners Daniel Thomsen and Karine\u00a0Rosenthal have shared insights about the plot of the ongoing season, specifically regarding the protagonist\u2019s love life, the possible return of an old flame, and Angie\u2019s storyline. In a recent interview, the creative duo discussed what viewers can expect from the latest Will Trent installment, while also naming a few characters who will have increased screen time this time around.<\/p>\n

Daniel Thomsen wants to give \u2018Will some romantic action\u2019 in Will Trent Season 4<\/p>\n

During a recent interview, the two showrunners confirmed that a considerable part of Will Trent Season 4 will focus on the titular special agent trying to find romance in his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo definitely, we want to give Will some\u00a0romantic\u00a0action this year as he\u2019s continuing to open up new parts of him,\u201d Daniel Thomsen told Parade<\/a>. He then added, \u201cWill\u2019s going through all of this chaos in his inner life. What would happen if he tried to open himself up to a more casual romantic relationship? Is he capable of that? Is that something he would get fun out of? That\u2019s where we\u2019re starting the season with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Season 4 will see Ram\u00f3n Rodr\u00edguez\u2019s<\/a> character explore his romantic options, the edition won\u2019t feature the introduction of a prominent Will Trent love interest. \u201cI can say that it\u2019s not Sara Linton, but it is somebody that the audience of the show will recognize when it comes back to Will\u2019s life,\u201d Thomsen teased.<\/p>\n

Moreover, with Angie (Erika Christensen<\/a>) undergoing a pregnancy arc on the show, Karine Rosenthal confirmed that Dr. Seth McDale (Scott Foley<\/a>) will play an important role in the fourth edition. \u201cYes, he will pop in and out. He will be there,\u201d the executive producer confirmed.<\/p>\n

Talking about the involvement of Franklin Wilks (Kevin Daniels<\/a>) in Will Trent Season 4, Rosenthal noted, \u201cWe\u2019re going to be seeing him in more crime stories. We get a little glimpse, learn a little bit more about Franklin as a person, get to see parts of him we haven\u2019t seen yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
