{"id":394218,"date":"2026-01-08T01:39:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-08T01:39:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/394218\/"},"modified":"2026-01-08T01:39:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T01:39:09","slug":"applied-digital-beats-quarterly-revenue-estimates-on-ai-data-center-demand-shares-jump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/394218\/","title":{"rendered":"Applied Digital beats quarterly revenue estimates on AI data center demand, shares jump"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Jan 7 (Reuters) &#8211; Applied Digital reported second-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimates on Wednesday, as the data \u200bcenter operator benefited from strong demand for its large-scale \u200cfacilities for <a href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/ai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:artificial intelligence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">artificial intelligence<\/a> workloads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Shares of the company rose about 7% in \u200cextended trading.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Applied Digital is capitalizing on surging demand for AI infrastructure that is able to provide the massive compute capacity developers need to train and deploy artificial intelligence models.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">It reported revenue \u2060of $126.6 million for the \u200cfiscal second quarter, ended November 30, far exceeding analysts&#8217; estimates of $88 million, according to data \u200dcompiled by LSEG.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The company has secured billions in long-term leases, including a recent $5 billion agreement with a U.S.-based hyperscaler for 200 MW \u200bat its Polaris Forge 2 campus in North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Applied \u200csaid it has now signed leases with two hyperscalers across two campuses in North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">&#8220;The Dakotas represent a compelling region for hyperscalers due to their cool climate and abundant energy.
