Manchester United<\/a><\/p>\nManchester United striker interim boss Darren Fletcher, speaking to Sky Sports on how he feels about the result: “Disappointed we didn’t win the game. We’ve done more than enough to win the game in terms of chances, shots, two cleared off the line. I’m not sure why the goal’s disallowed for the foul with [Lisandro] Martinez, so 2-2 if you look at it with the context of everything it’s disappointing.”<\/p>\n
On whether not winning after being 2-1 up makes it more frustrating: “For sure. When you get to 2-1 up you want to see out the game and try and score another goal. To be fair, Burnley, it’s a great finish, there’s not much we could do about it. To be 1-0 down in the first half to come out and show that character in the second half to go 2-1 up but then to concede and not be able to get a third goal and go on and win 3-2 that’s the disappointment. The lads gave their all, the effort was there, the application was there. Trying to take on all the new ideas in a short a short space of time so I’m happy with their levels. I know they’ve got a lot more in them and more improvement to come.<\/p>\n
“You can tell the players were used to playing in a different system for a while, so it’s not easy to adapt so you can see the challenges that lie there but that’s normal.”<\/p>\n
On how important scoring was for Benjamin Sesko: “He needed it massively. i spoke to him before the game and tried to reiterate what a good player he is and how much I’ve watched him over the years. We got the service in the box from him and it was great movement, made great runs and he took his two goals fantastically.”<\/p>\n
On managing Man Utd tonight: “It’s an amazing experience. I’m disappointed we didn’t win the game, I can’t hide that, but in terms of the experience of leading the team out, preparing the team, the fans, the support everything, it was a pleasure, it was an honour.”<\/p>\n
On what happens next: “I’ve spoken to the board and I’ll be in charge for the Brighton game and we’ll take it from there.
