Say hello to your new Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.<\/p>\n
Disney announced that they have found their lead stars for the live-action version of \u201cTangled.\u201d Letting down her hair for the role of Rapunzel is Australian actor Teagan Croft, while the swashbuckling thief role of Eugene Fitzherbert, also known as Flynn Rider, goes to “Zombies” star Milo Manheim.<\/p>\n
\u201cTeagan Croft and Milo Manheim are Rapunzel and Flynn Rider in the live-action reimagining of Disney\u2019s \u2018Tangled,\u2019\u201d Disney wrote on Instagram <\/a>on Jan. 7. \u201cComing only to theaters.\u201d<\/p>\n Manheim shared the news on his Instagram and story<\/a>, adding “Too grateful to put into words. I will do him justice I promise.”<\/p>\n Croft is known for roles in \u201cTitans,\u201d \u201cTrue Spirit,\u201d \u201cThe Osiris Child\u201d and \u201cAlphas.\u201d Aside from the Disney Channel \u201cZombies\u201d franchise, Manheim has appeared in \u201cThanksgiving,\u201d \u201cJourney to Bethlehem\u201d and \u201cPlatonic.\u201d He placed second in Season 27 of \u201cDancing With the Stars.\u201d<\/p>\n The upcoming live-action version will be directed by Michael Gracey, known for his work on \u201cThe Greatest Showman.\u201d<\/p>\n The animated \u201cTangled\u201d was released in 2010 with Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider. Donna Murphy voiced Mother Gothel. <\/p>\n Additional actors have yet to be announced but many fans are looking forward to seeing who gets cast as the film\u2019s antagonist. <\/p>\n The live-version \u201cTangled\u201d has been in the works for years, with reports of actors testing for the lead roles last month, according to The Hollywood Reporter.<\/a> <\/p>\n
