US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said there was room \u200cto balance roles for both the United States \u200dand China in Venezuela to allow for commerce but that Washington would not allow Beijing to have major control over the Latin \u2060American country.<\/p>\n

In an interview on Fox Business Network, Wright also said he expected to see Chevron quickly grow its activities in Venezuela, with ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil also looking to play \u200da constructive role.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you will probably see some \u200dlong-term involvement of China in Venezuela. As long as America is the dominant force there, the rule \u200cof law, the United States controls oil flow.<\/p>\n

That will \u200dbe fine,\u201d he told the Mornings with Maria programme.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs there a balance that can be had with China? I think there is so.\u201d<\/p>\n
