\n Until the ink is dry on Bamford’s new Sheffield United contract, nothing is done. Remember the Chuba Akpom saga over the summer?\n<\/p>\n
\n That being said, I don’t expect him to be Town’s new no.9. Is there the chance that the noise was used as leverage to secure a better deal at his current club? You can never rule it out.\n<\/p>\n
\n There are a lot of boxes that Bamford ticks, especially in the short term, but I do think that Ipswich might look for someone with a higher ceiling to can have an impact in the mid-to-long term.\n<\/p>\n
\n For someone of his age and with his injury record, he needs somewhere to play week in, week out, knowing that his future is secure.\n<\/p>\n
\n Does uprooting midway through the campaign to battle it out with George Hirst, Ivan Azon and Chuba Akpom make sense when he’s a nailed-on starter for the Blades?
