Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the movie will be released in United States theaters later this year. The sequel, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/avengers-secret-wars\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Avengers: Secret Wars<\/a>, then arrives in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>What did Simu Liu say about Avengers: Doomsday?<\/p>\n<p>Recently, a clip of Liu talking to Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson\u00a0on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZVYG4-mFIJE&amp;t=82s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Good Sports<\/a> has gone viral. In the video, Liu says that his \u201clife is in danger, for sure.\u201d Some have taken this out of context and thought that Liu is saying that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/shang-chi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shang-Chi<\/a> won\u2019t be making it out of Doomsday alive.<\/p>\n<p>In actuality, Liu is making a joke that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/marvel\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marvel<\/a> is watching him and that there\u2019s not much he can say about Doomsday, as Hart and Thompson were pressing him for spoilers just moments before.<\/p>\n<p>While Marvel is keeping Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars spoilers under lock and key, Liu has been open about the fact that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/shang-chi-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">sequel<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/shang-chi-and-the-legend-of-the-ten-rings\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings<\/a> is happening. He also recently confirmed to <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/simu-liu-teases-role-avengers-secret-wars-shang-chi-2-exclusive-11834138\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">People<\/a> that he\u2019s part of the Secret Wars cast, meaning the chances of him dying in Doomsday are likely zero.<\/p>\n<p>Hart and Thompson also asked Liu to confirm some humorous Avengers: Doomsday rumors \u2014 that Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. will go \u201cfull Heated Rivalry,\u201d that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.superherohype.com\/tag\/mcu\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MCU<\/a> movie is a musical, etc. \u2014 that Liu jokingly said were all true.<\/p>\n<p>Avengers: Doomsday is currently dated for December 18, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars then follows on December 17, 2027. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, meanwhile, is available to stream on Disney+ at this time.
