Dominik Szoboszlai viewed Liverpool’s battling 0-0 draw at Arsenal on Thursday evening as a ‘step forward’ for the Reds.<\/p>\n
Arne Slot’s side earned a point at Emirates Stadium in the Premier League and moved on to 10 games unbeaten across all competitions.<\/p>\n
Conor Bradley went closest to breaking the deadlock on the night as he struck the crossbar with a lobbed effort in the first half.<\/p>\n
“We faced an unbelievable team,” Szoboszlai reflected to Sky Sports post-match. “But I think we showed again today why we became champions last season. <\/p>\n
“Now this was a step forward I think after the recent weeks. We showed again that even against a team that is top of the table we can compete and we take it with us for the next weeks and we move on.”<\/p>\n

On whether the first half was about ‘fight’ and ‘resilience’…<\/p>\n
I think it’s always about fight, to be honest, because in the Premier League you have to fight to get results. I think today each of us… everybody showed we are able to do it. From now on nobody can say we are not [fighting] in the team. We have to keep on going and work as hard every week as we did today.<\/p>\n
On the second-half performance and being in more control…<\/p>\n
I think in the first half we also had a couple of chances and also we managed to keep the ball a couple of times. But, of course, it’s not easy to play here against such a great team. I think none of the teams like to run against the ball in the Premier League, especially when two teams play with such a big quality. <\/p>\n
In the first half we tried to keep the ball as much as we could and in the second half the same. I think in the second half it was a little bit more than the first half. We hardly created any [clear] chances, but I think if I had a better day then I have a couple of better shots.<\/p>\n
On his efforts at goal during the second half…<\/p>\n
It looks like I still have to practise [free-kicks] even more! They defended well and we take the one point.<\/p>\n
