Kate Hudson is addressing the drama surrounding her newest film.<\/p>\n

The \u201cAlmost Famous\u201d star and Hugh Jackman portrayed Neil Diamond tribute band performers Claire and Mike Sardina in the recently released biopic \u201cSong Sung Blue.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mike\u2019s real-life son, however, claimed that he was \u201cpurposely cut out of the film\u201d<\/a> after being paid a \u201cpathetic $30,000\u201d to serve as a consultant on the project. He also called Hudson and Jackman \u201cmonsters.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I don\u2019t even know,\u201d Hudson, 46, told The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> on Thursday regarding Mike Sardina Jr.\u2019s accusations. \u201cOut of respect for our filmmakers, I\u2019m not the right person to speak to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSong Sung Blue\u201d was released on Dec. 25 and is based on the 2008 documentary of the same name. It centered on Claire and Mike Sardina\u2019s love story and their time together in the Neil Diamond tribute band<\/a> Lightning & Thunder.<\/p>\n

Although Mike\u2019s daughter and Claire\u2019s stepdaughter, Angelina Sardina, was portrayed in the Craig Brewster-directed biopic by King Princess, Mike Jr. was not featured at all.<\/p>\n

Both Mike Jr. and Angelina aired their grievances in a fiery interview with the Daily Mail<\/a> published shortly after the movie\u2019s release last month.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy father\u2019s rolling in his grave right now,\u201d Mike Jr., 41, charged before adding that the film \u201ccompletely destroyed\u201d his dad\u2019s legacy. Mike Sr. died from a head injury in July 2006. He was 55.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery interview that those monsters<\/a> have been on national television don\u2019t even mention my existence at all, even though I was the most prevalent force in my father\u2019s life, even when I wasn\u2019t in Wisconsin, because I\u2019m his only son,\u201d Mike Jr. added of Hudson and Jackman.<\/p>\n

Angelina told the outlet that she \u201cdidn\u2019t have any contact\u201d with King Princess despite being paid $30,000 to serve as a consultant on the film, like her brother.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing that was true is the love between my dad and Claire,\u201d\u00a0she said.<\/p>\n

The Post has reached out to Hudson and Jackman\u2019s reps for further comment.<\/p>\n

Claire, meanwhile, was very involved in \u201cSong Sung Blue\u201d<\/a> and appeared alongside Hudson and Jackman at several premieres ahead of its official theatrical release.<\/p>\n

Hudson went on to praise Claire, 65, and the relationship they formed behind the scenes of the movie during her chat with THR.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so happy that I got to know Claire, who\u2019s such a wonderful woman, and she\u2019s so happy with the movie,\u201d the actress shared.<\/p>\n

Hudson also touched upon the Golden Globe and Actor Award nominations<\/a> she has received for her impressive performance as Claire.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re younger and this happens, there\u2019s a different feeling to it \u2013 it\u2019s more of a shock entrance, or invitation, into this world,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
