\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t19TH TO DETERMINE WHO WILL BE THIS YEAR\u2019S NATIONAL CHAMPION. IN OTHER NEWS TONIGHT, LMPD IS NOW INVESTIGATING THE FIRST HOMICIDE OF 2026. A MAN WAS SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE PARK DUVALLE NEIGHBORHOOD THIS MORNING. WLKY\u2019S MEGAN MATTHEWS WAS ON THE SCENE JUST AFTER THIS SHOOTING AND HAS THE LATEST. THIS HAPPENED AROUND 11 A.M. IN THE PARK DUVALLE NEIGHBORHOOD ON THE 1500 BLOCK OF 31ST STREET. WHEN OFFICERS ARRIVED, THEY FOUND A MAN ON THE GROUND WHO HAD BEEN SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES. POLICE MESKE WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED ON SCENE. THE LOUISVILLE METRO POLICE HOMICIDE UNIT IS NOW IN CHARGE OF THE INVESTIGATION. LMPD HOMICIDE DETECTIVES K-9 UNITS SEARCHED THE AREA LOOKING FOR EVIDENCE OF WHAT LED TO THE SHOOTING, AND FOR THOSE INVOLVED. ANYTIME WE CAN USE ANY OF OUR TOOLS, ANY OF THE THINGS THAT WE HAVE THAT CAN HELP US COME TO SOME TYPE OF CONCLUSION, WHAT HAPPENED HERE? WE\u2019LL USE THEM. MANY NEIGHBORS LIKE TONY SAYING THAT ALTHOUGH THIS DOESN\u2019T HAPPEN OFTEN IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, HAVING SOMEONE SHOT NEARBY IS UNNERVING. IT WORRIES ME QUITE OFTEN. I MEAN, YOU KNOW, I\u2019VE BEEN HERE FOR A LONG TIME, AND I JUST SEE AND HEAR A LOT OF STUFF, YOU KNOW? SO IT JUST WORRIES ME, REALLY AND TRULY, IT REALLY DOES. AND IT\u2019S VERY SAD NOW, FEELING LIKE THEY NOT ONLY HAVE TO BE MORE CAUTIOUS IN THEIR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD, BUT IN THEIR EVERYDAY LIVES NOW. THERE\u2019S NO WAY FOR ANYBODY TO TO LIVE TO SEE IF YOU\u2019RE GOING TO WALK TO THE STORE, JUST GOING TO GET A GLASS OF MILK AND YOU NOT COME BACK HOME TO YOUR LOVED ONES. IT\u2019S PEOPLE LIKE I WAS JUST SAYING EARLIER, EVERYBODY GOT SOMEONE OUT HERE THAT LOVES THEM. LMPD SAYS THEY\u2019RE NOW ASKING THOSE WHO WERE IN THE AREA FOR ANY SECURITY FOOTAGE PEOPLE MAY HAVE, OR ANY INFORMATION THAT MAY HELP WITH THE INVESTIGATION. THE SMALLEST TIP CAN BE THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG THAT LEADS TO THE THE ARREST AND PROSECUTION OF THE PERSON OR PERSONS INVOLVED IN THIS. AN\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
