A woman from Reading has turned an early challenge into a thriving career in the beauty industry, now running a salon and online training business alongside her daughter.<\/p>\n

Andrea became a single mother at 16. After her daughter, Mia, started nursery, Andrea took a part-time job in a pub, not only to earn an income but also to support her mental health and independence.<\/p>\n

Her career path changed after she spotted a college course booklet left on the bar. One course in massage inspired her to enrol, setting her on a new trajectory. Over the following years, Andrea trained in a variety of beauty treatments and began offering services from her home, gradually building a loyal client base.<\/p>\n

Today, Andrea runs a salon and an online education business that trains beauty professionals across the UK. She recently took on her first staff member and now works alongside her 18-year-old daughter Mia, hosting children\u2019s pamper events as part of their family-focused brand.<\/p>\n
