But by the end of the video, it\u2019s clear who won the confrontation: the muntjac.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\" lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83e\udd8c \ud83e\udd8f Tiny 13kg deer takes on 1.7-tonne rhino at Wroclaw Zoo<\/p>\n<p>A case of David vs Goliath at Wroclaw Zoo, as a tiny 13kg deer takes on a nearly two-tonne rhinoceros and appears to come out of the clash on top. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aKFpwP8VJd\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/aKFpwP8VJd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 AFP News Agency (@AFP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AFP\/status\/2009610859178242287?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">January 9, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/1165604435779780\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">post on Facebook<\/a>, the zoo joked in Polish that \u201csomeone probably forgot to look in the mirror this morning.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">\u201cHe has to discharge energy and show who\u2019s boss \u2014 even if the sparring partner weighs 1.7 tons,\u201d it wrote. \u201cWho would have thought that such a warrior lurks in this tiny body?\u201d the post reads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">Other netizens were equally amused.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">\u201cSomething about the ridiculous power scaling makes this hilarious,\u201d one Reddit user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/interestingasfuck\/comments\/1q7duls\/comment\/nyep94o\/?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=web3x&amp;utm_name=web3xcss&amp;utm_term=1&amp;utm_content=share_button\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cRhino could squish muntjac under foot and instead they\u2019re both dancing around.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">Reeves\u2019s muntjacs are native to southeastern China and Taiwan, but they\u2019ve been introduced to parts of Europe as well. Males typically have short antlers that measure up to four inches, as well as tiny tusks that can reach up to two inches in length.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">They\u2019re also known to make a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oxdkHk009BM\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dog bark-like sound<\/a> during mating or when provoked \u2014 which is far more blood-curdling than its diminutive size might suggest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">As local news outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wroclaw.pl\/zielony-wroclaw\/maly-ale-byk-niewiarygodna-szarza-mundzaka-chinskiego-na-nosorozca-film\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Zielony Wroc\u0142aw reports<\/a>, rhinos usually tolerate the presence of other animals in their territory, given their lack of fear towards any other species \u2014 except tigers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph skip\">Wroc\u0142aw zookeeper Maciej Okupnik explained to the publication that muntjacs and rhinos often interact with each other both in nature and in captivity.
