Pictures. The film was directed by Zack Snyder and starred Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman.

Whether you loved it or fought it, the movie made a massive impression and set the tone for what DC was trying to build at the time.

The newly revealed posters come courtesy of artist Joshua Ecton, who recently shared several previously unseen designs on his personal website. The artwork, which was highlighted online via @TaurooAldebaran, leans heavily into the mythic, confrontational energy that defined the film.

Seeing them now just makes it easier to imagine an alternate timeline where this story kept going. Batman v Superman was a major chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ DCEU, the shared universe that kicked off in 2013 with Shyder’s Man of Steel.

After the theatrical run, the film found new life with the Ultimate Edition, an extended cut that added 31 minutes of footage and carried an R-rating instead of PG-13. For many fans, that version helped reframe the movie and deepened appreciation for what Snyder was aiming for.

Despite its scale and ambition, Batman v Superman never received a direct sequel. Instead, its story threads rolled into Justice League in 2017. That production became infamous for its turbulent journey, eventually leading to Zack Snyder’s Justice League debuting in 2021.

While that release gave fans closure on some lingering arcs, it also highlighted what might’ve been if the original plan had stayed intact.

Now, DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures have shifted gears and launched the DCU under James Gunn and Peter Safran. Projects like Creature Commandos Season 1, Superman, and Peacemaker Season 2 are shaping the new direction. Even so, these unreleased posters are a reminder of how strong the imagery and ambition of Batman v Superman still feel.

The poster art reopens the conversation about unfinished stories and unrealized sequels. Years later, Batman v Superman is still finding ways to spark conversation and talk about what could’ve come next.

A new wave of unreleased Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice posters has surfaced online, and it’s instantly…

[52
88,206
0":"post-400558","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-movies","8":"tag-entertainment","9":"tag-movies
["GET
