A few hours after landing dynamic slot receiver\u00a0Que’Sean Brown<\/a>, the Hokies landed another wide receiver commitment, this one coming from Louisiana Tech<\/a> standout Marlion Jackson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jackson arrives in Blacksburg after spending the early part of his career at Louisiana Tech, where he developed into a veteran presence in the Bulldogs’ program. Listed at 6-foot 2-inches and 215-pounds, Jackson gives the Hokies a bigger, stronger option on the perimeter as James Franklin<\/a> continues reshaping the roster.<\/p>\n

“This program has prepared me for the next chapter in my life,” Jackson posted on Twitter when he announced he was entering the Transfer Portal. “After prayer, reflection, and conversations with those I trust most, I have decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal to pursue opportunities that align with my long-term athletic and professional goals.”<\/p>\n

At Virginia Tech<\/a>, Jackson brings multiple years in a college strength program, experience in an FBS locker room, and the tools that can translate quickly in the ACC. He has length, strength, and versatility, which the Hokies have lacked at the outside receiver position.<\/p>\n

Jackson\u00a0is currently a redshirt junior with\u00a0one year of remaining college eligibility.<\/p>\n

As a high school recruit, Jackson was unranked by 247Sports.<\/p>\n

In 2025, Jackson recorded 20 receptions for 370-yards and two touchdowns.
