The brutal daylight killing of Renee Nicole Macklin Good in Minneapolis has sparked protests at more than 1,000 places in United States (USA).<\/p>\n

Renee Nicole Macklin Good, 37-year-old mother of 3, was shot dead<\/a> by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent on Thursday January 08, 2026 in south Minneapolis, Minnesota.<\/p>\n

The ICE officer shot Macklin Good at point blank during an anti-immigration operation when she was inside her car.<\/p>\n

The killing sparked massive outrage across the United States. <\/p>\n

The protest started soon after Macklin Good\u2019s killing surged on Saturday and continued today i.e. Sunday January 11, 2026.<\/p>\n

As per Axios, large scale protests that are ongoing are being reported from more than 1,000 places of the United States including Minneapolis, Washington DC, New York, Austin, Pennsylvania, Chicago and Portland.<\/p>\n

\u201cProtests are spreading nationwide after the fatal shooting of Ren\u00e9e Nicole Good in Minnesota\u201d, MS NOW News reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom DC to Philly to L.A. and New York, people are demanding answers. Many of these cities are led by Democrats and have already been targets of ICE operations themselves\u201d, it added.<\/p>\n

\u201cHundreds of people are gathered at Pershing Square to protest against ICE, and Trumps war against Venezuela\u201d, Abraham M\u00e1rquez, a local reporter who is a member of National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ), said.<\/p>\n

Around 160 Congress members have written a letter to Kristi Noem, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, demanding accountability for ICE’s indefensible actions resulting in the killing of a woman in South Minneapolis, Rep. Ilhan Omar said.<\/p>\n

“Minnesotans deserve answers. That must include an unbiased, thorough investigation”, she said.<\/p>\n

In San Francisco, a message was found written on the beach with the bodies of hundreds of people: \u201cA murder has been committed. Police (ICE) get out.\u201d<\/p>\n

At other sites, protesters were seen shouting anti-ICE slogans and carrying placards reading \u201cICE Out of Our Communities\u201d, \u201cIndigenous Not Illegal\u201d and \u201cWe are Native to This Land\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cFuck ICE\u201d graffiti was also seen written on walls near U.S. government offices.<\/p>\n

While many protests remain peaceful, some have seen arrests and heavy police presence, reflecting growing national anger over ICE\u2019s role and use of force.<\/p>\n
