A four-star prospect out of St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, Roy was the No. 357 overall prospect<\/a> and No. 36 defensive lineman in the 247Sports composite rankings for the\u00a0recruiting class of 2025. He didn’t play any defensive snaps for the Buckeyes in his lone season wearing scarlet and gray.\n<\/p>\n \n\tRoy is one of three Ohio State defensive tackles to have entered the transfer portal, joining classmate Jarquez Carter<\/a>\u00a0and rising redshirt sophomore Eric Mensah.<\/a>\u00a0Both of the Buckeyes’ starting defensive tackles from 2025 depart as well, with Kayden McDonald declaring for the NFL draft <\/a>as a projected first-round pick and Tywone Malone Jr. out of eligibility.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
