This game was fairly one sided until the final five minutes. Buffalo had generated a majority of the offense and limited the Ducks chances. <\/p>\n
UPL was locked in and made some great saves as he continues to turn in quality starts. However, the final five minutes saw 5 goals and brought the Sabres lead down to one in the final minute. They were able to cash in an empty netter with 11 seconds left. A lot can be said about this team, but you can\u2019t call them boring. <\/p>\n
Doan had another standout performance. His takeaway in the second period led directly to Thompson\u2019s tap in goal. He also got in his first career NHL fight and won a decisive victory. <\/p>\n
Byram continues his stretch of excellent play. With his 3rd period goal, he now has a three-game point streak and 6 points in his last 5 games. <\/p>\n
Jack Quinn found the back of the net twice after being held out of the goal column in the previous 9 games. He\u2019s someone who can play a vital role as depth scoring can often be the deciding factor in a playoff race. <\/p>\n
