Sergio Garcia has offered his verdict on the news that has blown the golf world wide open.<\/p>\n
A couple of days after applying for membership, former LIV golfer Brooks Koepka confirmed that he had accepted his punishment<\/a> from Ponte Vedra Beach HQ and would be rejoining the PGA Tour as a full-time member.<\/p>\n But it didn\u2019t end there. The way the Tour worked its way out of any potential legal issues was to add a new clause<\/a> that allowed winners of any major since 2022 to rejoin with the same penalty.<\/p>\n That put LIV golfers Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau and Cam Smith in the spotlight.<\/p>\n But while that particular trio was kept at arm\u2019s length from the baying media, others were happy to discuss the matter.<\/p>\n For Sergio Garcia \u2013 the Fireballs captain and one of LIV\u2019s biggest cheerleaders since making the move \u2013 losing Koepka is not a concern. Losing anyone else, though, and it might be a different outlook altogether.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope Brooks enjoys it, and hopefully he plays well,\u201d the Spaniard told TG at the LIV Golf 2026 preview week in West Palm Beach, Florida.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s trying to do whatever is best for his family, just like we all did when we came here, and I don\u2019t blame them for that.<\/p>\n \u201cBut it doesn\u2019t affect me. If I wasn\u2019t happy, I wouldn\u2019t be here.<\/p>\n
