{"id":405588,"date":"2026-01-14T00:40:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T00:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/405588\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T00:40:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T00:40:10","slug":"bryson-dechambeau-sends-golf-fans-wild-as-he-breaks-silence-over-one-time-pga-tour-offer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/405588\/","title":{"rendered":"Bryson DeChambeau sends golf fans wild as he breaks silence over one-time PGA Tour offer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bryson DeChambeau has sent golf social media into meltdown with his latest Instagram Story just 24 hours after Brooks Koepka made a sensational return to the PGA Tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/tour\/pga-tour\" data-entity-type=\"taxonomy_term\" data-entity-uuid=\"0514d135-c0aa-4a5d-a5c8-f7197f44adc3\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"PGA Tour\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PGA Tour<\/a> not only allowed five-time major champion Koepka to returrn this month, but the circuit also opened the door ajar for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/players\/bryson-dechambeau\" data-entity-type=\"taxonomy_term\" data-entity-uuid=\"242767b9-c064-41ee-8466-f7a85ab9a8cc\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"Bryson DeChambeau\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DeChambeau<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/players\/jon-rahm\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jon Rahm<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/players\/cameron-smith\" data-entity-type=\"taxonomy_term\" data-entity-uuid=\"efa55f35-f43b-4985-b271-a955ab9e61a5\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"Cameron Smith\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cameron Smith<\/a> to follow suit should they wish to join.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the PGA Tour confirmed Koepka&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/tour\/pga-tour\/pga-tour-make-stunning-brooks-koepka-announcement\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"6d909346-cecb-4546-8b81-8eabce72092f\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"PGA Tour make stunning Brooks Koepka announcement\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reinstatement<\/a> after the former World No.1 made a shock decision to quit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/tour\/liv-golf\" data-entity-type=\"taxonomy_term\" data-entity-uuid=\"a98bdd27-b225-4fc9-b7d2-bbff98678a53\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"LIV Golf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LIV Golf<\/a> on 23 December.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Koepka has been permitted to return via a time-sensitive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/tour\/liv-golf\/explained-scheme-allows-brooks-koepka-return-pga-tour-after-quitting-liv-golf\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"89f26fb1-7d15-4559-aa36-15b1e6492b2c\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"Explained: The scheme behind Brooks Koepka&#039;s PGA Tour return\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">returning members policy<\/a> that was unveiled on Monday by the PGA Tour&#8217;s newly-appointed Brian Rolapp.<\/p>\n<p>The new policy permits LIV players who have won a major or The Players Championship between 2022-2025 to return.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>That means the only LIV players eligible to return are Koepka, DeChambeau, Rahm and Smith &#8211; and not Phil Mickelson because he won the US PGA in 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Under the new rule, players have until 2 February to make up their minds.<\/p>\n<p>Rather fittingly, that is just before the first LIV Golf League event of the new season in Riyadh.<\/p>\n<p>Koepka has obviously already taken the PGA Tour up on their proposal, and he will make his comeback at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in two weeks time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But the others now have a decision to make.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Do they stick on the LIV Golf, or twist back to the PGA Tour?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/brooks-koepka222.JPG\"   type=\"image\/jpeg\" alt=\"Brooks Koepka \" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.68\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Brooks Koepka<\/p>\n<p>The move comes with consequence though.<\/p>\n<p>Koepka will not receive player equity on the PGA Tour for the next five years to 2030.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He also won&#8217;t receive any FedEx Cup bonus money, and he will need to make a $5m charitable donation of his choice.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Koepka will, however, be eligible to compete on the US Presidents Cup team in September.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/jon-rahm-livuk.jpg\"   type=\"image\/jpeg\" alt=\"Jon Rahm\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.59\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Jon Rahm<\/p>\n<p>Could Rahm, Smith and DeChambeau all follow Koepka through the PGA Tour door?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Well, two of them are definitely out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While not yet official statements, it&#8217;s understood both Rahm and Smith have elected to remain on the LIV Golf League.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Smith has reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfmagic.com\/tour\/liv-golf\/report-cameron-smith-rejects-pga-tours-offer-quit-liv-golf\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"4a0302f6-c15a-4622-ac5a-b6caaff5f915\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"Report: Cameron Smith makes decision on LIV Golf future after &quot;one-time&quot; offer to quit LIV Golf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">no interest either<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That just leaves two-time US Open champion DeChambeau left to make a call.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Will Bryson DeChambeau return to the PGA Tour? \ud83e\udd14<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 GolfMagic (@GolfMagic) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GolfMagic\/status\/2011178380377694691?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">January 13, 2026<\/a>Will Bryson DeChambeau leave LIV Golf and return to the PGA Tour?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There have been rumours in the industry that DeChambeau is not going to extend his LIV Golf contract when it ends next season.<\/p>\n<p>But on the flip side, other reports such as one from The Telegraph suggests DeChambeau is expected to see his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/golf\/2026\/01\/13\/bryson-dechambeau-liv-500m-demand-brooks-koepka-pga-return\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$500m demands fulfilled<\/a> in order to remain a LIV Golf player past 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>However, nothing is yet confirmed and talks are said to be ongoing between DeChambeau and LIV Golf&#8217;s bankrollers, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).<\/p>\n<p>DeChambeau, who is the captain of Crushers GC, had initially committed himself to the 2026 LIV Golf League season.<\/p>\n<p>A recent press release from the Crushers confirmed all four players &#8211;
