{"id":406025,"date":"2026-01-14T05:33:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T05:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/406025\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T05:33:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T05:33:13","slug":"retro-fitness-launches-3-month-free-trial-to-drive-retention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/406025\/","title":{"rendered":"Retro Fitness Launches 3-Month Free Trial to Drive Retention"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>                        As New Year\u2019s fitness promotions flood the market, the HVLP gym brand is breaking from industry norms with a three-month promotion aimed at long-term loyalty and retention<\/p>\n<p>With fitness top of mind at the beginning of the new year, many gym-goers may be experiencing something called \u201cresolution fatigue,\u201d tired of the pressure to remake themselves or finding it hard to stick with their goals.<\/p>\n<p>As the market is flooded with short-term discounts and free trials for fitness clubs, high-value low price (HVLP) gym Retro Fitness is taking a big risk, offering a three-month free trial instead.<\/p>\n<p>With its \u201cNo Butts About It\u201d campaign, the fitness brand is betting on habit-building and retention rather than enrollment spikes from shorter promotional periods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe idea came directly from what we\u2019ve been seeing with members year after year,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/retrofitness.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"(opens in a new tab)\">Retro Fitness<\/a> chief brand officer Kim Gouch told Athletech News. \u201cJanuary is crowded with free trials, seven-day passes and quick-hit discounts, but real behavior change doesn\u2019t happen in a week, and often not even in a month.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From Dec. 30 through Feb. 2, new members nationwide can access three months free using the promo code \u201cEpic,\u201d while current members with Core and Flex memberships can upgrade during the promotional window.<\/p>\n<p>The free three months comes within a 15-month installment plan as a discount spread across the period.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1120\" height=\"1247\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Retro-Fitness-Wayne-NJ-Action-3-1120x1247.webp.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-147071\" style=\"width:489px;height:auto\"\/>credit: Retro Fitness<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe wanted to create a runway that reflects how habits are built,\u201d Gouch added. \u201cThree months felt intentional. It gives people enough time to move past the initial motivation spike, experience consistency, explore different parts of the club, and feel progress without pressure. This campaign is about giving people the space to build a relationship with Retro Fitness that lasts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three months is a lot longer than typical free trial periods, but the HVLP brand sees it as the most effective strategy to combat operators\u2019 long-standing problem of member retention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShort trials may drive sign-ups, but they don\u2019t always drive loyalty. \u2026 When people don\u2019t feel rushed, intimidated, or nickel-and-dimed, they\u2019re more likely to stick around,\u201d Gouch said. \u201cThis campaign allows members to settle in, find routines they enjoy, and use the amenities that support recovery and consistency.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Retro Fitness facilities feature state-of-the-art <a href=\"https:\/\/athletechnews.com\/luxury-uk-resort-matrix-fitness-gym\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Matrix equipment<\/a>, a nutrient-focused Smoothie Bar that\u2019s also open to the public and the Zen Den, with full-body red light therapy and a mindfulness-focused space for relaxation, full body massage and muscle recovery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cResolution fatigue is real. People want to feel better and healthier, but they\u2019re tired of being sold perfection,\u201d Gouch added. \u201cThey\u2019re overwhelmed by unrealistic promises, transformation timelines, and the pressure to do everything right from day one. This campaign is our way of saying start where you are, take your time, and keep going.
