Jack Osbourne has confirmed that his family have decided upon an actor to play Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> in a biopic.<\/p>\n

The film has been in the works for many years, with Jack and his sister Aim\u00e9e reportedly directly involved in the upcoming movie behind the scenes as producers.<\/p>\n

The project was first announced<\/a> in 2021, and following the Black Sabbath singer\u2019s death in July, it was confirmed by Polygram Entertainment, one of the co-producers, that the creative team are \u201ccurrently in negotiations with a director, which could be confirmed very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, Jack has provided a fresh update on the film during a new conversation on SiriusXM<\/a>\u2018s Influenced with Billy Morrison, who co-hosted The Madhouse Chronicles with his late father.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in full steam into the next phase of development with his movie,\u201d Osbourne revealed, before confirming, \u201cThat\u2019s an acted movie that Sony Studios, we\u2019ve been developing with Sony Studios for like six years already.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Ozzy once jokingly said that he\u2019d like Denzel Washington to play him in a film, Jack ruled him out of the equation, adding, \u201cSadly, it\u2019s not Denzel.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, an actor has been secured, according to Jack, who refused to reveal the name. \u201cListen, we have our decided pick, and we\u2019re still kind of, you know, I can\u2019t say anything, but it\u2019s a phenomenal, phenomenal actor, but we haven\u2019t, I mean, we have a director attached and we\u2019re doing a rewrite right now,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n

He also revealed his father\u2019s forthright thoughts on the biopic, recalling, \u201cAll he kept saying, I\u2019d give him updates. Like, \u2018Oh, you know, we met with this guy and this is happening,\u2019 and he just would go, he goes, \u2018I don\u2019t give a shit. Just tell me when it\u2019s out so I can go see it.’\u201d<\/p>\n

During a conversation on The Osbournes Podcast about the film in 2024, Ozzy accurately predicted that he wouldn\u2019t live to see the film on screen, morbidly saying, \u201cBy the time they finish this film, I\u2019ll be dead\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

As it stands, there is no tentative release date for the biopic, which is said to follow the famous love story of the Black Sabbath frontman and his manager wife, Sharon Osbourne<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
