Just when fans thought they knew everything about Halloween<\/a> Baking Championship, Stephanie Boswell and John Henson dropped a surprise \u2014 they\u2019re engaged!<\/p>\n

The pastry chef and comedian, both familiar faces on Food Network<\/a>\u2019s hit show, shared the happy news on social media, leaving fans delighted and a little shocked.<\/p>\n

Boswell showed off her gorgeous engagement ring and shared her excitement in the caption,\u00a0 \u201cYES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!! WE\u2019RE ENGAGED!!! \u201cMy love @realjohnhenson and I are making it official. Stay tuned for me bargain dress hunting and a backyard wedding with chickens in the background!\u201d<\/p>\n

Henson quickly responded in the comments, expressing his joy, \u201cI have never felt happier or more at peace<\/a> than when I\u2019m with you. I am the luckiest man ever. (And that doesn\u2019t even include the desserts!).\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans were thrilled by the announcement, with many admitting they hadn\u2019t realized the two were dating.<\/p>\n

Although fans still loved the show\u2019s classic challenges, a new high-stakes twist was added: each episode\u2019s bottom three bakers must now \u201cbake for their lives\u201d to stay in the competition.<\/p>\n

Fans were divided over the new \u201cbake-off\u201d element, voicing their frustration online. On Reddit, one user claimed the change \u201cruined\u201d part of why they tune in.<\/p>\n
