At 5-foot-11, he operated primarily out of the slot and figures to stay in that position with the Buckeyes, though they return last year’s starting slot receiver, Brandon Inniss.\n<\/p>\n \n\tA four-star prospect ranked 330th overall<\/a> and 47th at wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2023, Parker is considered the No. 343 overall player and No. 65 wide receiver in the transfer portal by 247Sports. He played prep ball for Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas,\u00a0the same high school that produced current Ohio State linebacker Payton Pierce. Incoming five-star freshman Chris Henry Jr. <\/a>might also be too good to keep off the field at an outside receiver spot.\n<\/p>\n \n\tIf nothing else, Parker provides needed\u00a0depth and experience at the receiver position for the Buckeyes after they\u00a0lost Bryson Rodgers<\/a> (South Florida), Quincy Porter<\/a> (Notre Dame), Mylan Graham<\/a> (Notre Dame), Damarion Witten<\/a> and Bodpegn Miller\u00a0<\/a>to the transfer portal.\n<\/p>\n \n\tOhio State is set to retain\u00a0rising junior Jeremiah Smith, the brightest star on its team, as well as Inniss and\u00a0redshirt freshmen Phillip Bell and\u00a0De’Zie Jones from its 2025 receiver room.
