Eva Mendes<\/a> is\u00a0pulling back the curtain on a personal chapter in her life.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Hitch\u00a0actress recalled hiding her baby bump from the public while she was pregnant with her second daughter\u00a0Amada Lee, 9, who she shares with Ryan Gosling<\/a>, along with Esmeralda Amada, 10.<\/p>\n

“2016 \u2014 I was hiding my second pregnancy from the public,” Eva wrote on Instagram<\/a> Jan. 15 while participating in the viral trend of sharing photos from a decade ago, “made some pretty cool biz moves, and heartbreakingly, my brother John passed.”<\/p>\n

She added of Amada, who was born on April 29 of that year, “Thank God my youngest was born and saved the family.”<\/p>\n

The 51-year-old led her carousel post with a black-and-white photo of herself sitting down with a blanket wrapped around her over which she wrote, “2016 – I was pregnant. This is me hiding my belly.”<\/p>\n

Later in the roundup of pictures, she shared a glamorous shot of herself posing in her “first photoshoot post baby,” as well as her “first cover shoot post baby.”<\/p>\n
